The Hobie 16 arrived on the Southern California beach scene in 1970 and sailing was never the same. It brought the sport to legions of speed-loving sailors.
Its light, asymmetric fibreglass hulls give lift, and the dual-trapeze rig lets you and your crew harness all of its power. More than 100,000 boats later, the Hobie 16 has a place in the Sailboat Hall of Fame and still delivers big-grin sailing and world-class racing.
