This website belongs to Hobie Cape, 52 Main Street, Langebaan, 7357, South Africa. Questions about your information go to info@hobiecape.co.za.

When you send a message through the contact form, we receive your name, email address, phone number (if you give it) and your message. It's delivered to our inbox by our email provider, Resend, and used only to reply to you and help with your enquiry. The website doesn't keep its own copy.

If you WhatsApp, phone or email us directly, we keep that conversation in the usual way, for as long as it's useful to help you.

We don't sell or share your information with anyone for marketing.

The public website doesn't use advertising or tracking cookies. We use Vercel Web Analytics to count visits in aggregate (which pages are read and roughly where visitors come from). It doesn't use cookies or identify you.

The contact form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that a real person is sending the message. Cloudflare may process technical information such as your IP address for that check.

Our staff admin area sets one essential cookie to keep the person signed in. It isn't used on the public pages.

Under POPIA you can ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email info@hobiecape.co.za and we'll help.

We keep the information on this site as accurate as we can, but boat specifications, stock, event dates and opening times can change. Please check with us before you rely on them. Event dates come from the organising clubs and may move.

Prices for rentals, lessons, boats and parts are given on request and confirmed by us directly.

Rentals, charters and lessons are subject to our assessment of each sailor's experience. If the weather is unsuitable before a booking starts, we'll move it to another time or date; no refunds are issued.
